Meet Mike Monahan, Founder of

Mike Monahan founded Dracut Solar in 2017 out of a passion for renewable energy and a dedication to helping people save money on their energy bills. His journey began as a Retail Solar Advisor, where he engaged with thousands of homeowners across Massachusetts and New Hampshire through Home Depot and Costco. Mike’s hands-on experience and deep understanding of solar technology quickly set him apart as a trusted expert in the field. Over the years, he has overseen more than 1,000 solar installations—each one reinforcing his commitment to quality, honesty, and customer care.

As the solar industry evolved and federal tax credits began to phase out, Mike saw an opportunity to expand his mission beyond solar. He recognized that the most immediate way to help Massachusetts homeowners save was by connecting them directly to the state’s leading energy efficiency programs. This realization inspired the creation of Mass Energy Savers, a brand built to help people lower their bills, improve comfort, and reduce environmental impact—whether through insulation, heat pumps, or still, when it makes financial sense, solar and battery storage.

Today, Mike leads a growing team that blends education, innovation, and transparency. Under his guidance, Mass Energy Savers remains committed to empowering Massachusetts residents to make smart energy decisions—offering solutions that fit each homeowner’s unique needs and budget.
